  • Liangong Pain Released Bodily Awareness Gained

    I have had two areas of discomfort for years in my body. Lower back tightness and tendonitis for many years. I had sometimes been able to stretch enough to relieve the tightness in my back, but most of the time I walked around feeling frustrated and uncomfortable and would visit the chiropractor regularly or get a massage to relieve the discomfort. I have found nothing to relieve the pain in my elbow. About two and half months ago I started incorporating LG class once a week and feeling my back opened up after class. Once I started understanding the exercises more and more I found myself able to stretch my back enough to feel as open as when I would visit the chiropractor. I am starting to feel less pain in my elbow because the LG exercises stretch areas from the shoulder down to the hands and fingers. LG has an inherent understanding of the body and the way to take care of the difficulties that arise both through stretching and strengthening. The exercises get into so many small and detailed areas I wasn't aware I needed to stretch that have helped increase an overall sense of health and flexibility. I appreciate being given the wisdom to take care of myself as time goes on and my body ages. Menachem has been a patient and detail oriented teacher that gives over his understanding of LG and encourages his students to become independent and comfortable with the exercises. Learning the exercises is truly a gift of self-care that is both gentle, powerful and long-lasting, and Menachem works to impart this information to his students.

  • Liangong - Physical Epiphany

    I recently took a lesson in lianggong from Menachem, I have been practicing and teaching tai chi, qiqong, ba gua, and hsing i for years, I've also taken many yoga classes and have regularly gone to bodyworkers about tension and structural challenges deep in my tissues. I have to say one week of lianggong practice has done more for my structure than all of those combined. I was able to relax muscles no bodyworker could get to and no qiqong set I knew had taught me to work on. it's an intense practice with amazing results. I am only 23 and I feel like years of stress have been taken off my back and shoulders. thanks Matthew!

  • Yoga Instructors Knee Injury Disappeared

    As a registered yoga teacher I have enjoyed the limberness and lightness that result from a regular hatha yoga practice. That being said, I also had a knee injury that after two years of almost daily pain was showing no signs of alleviation. After doing only one session with Menachem my daily soreness/swelling has disappeared and never returned. I now regularly practice the Lian Gong exercises he has shown me and am enjoying a strength, balance, and stable health that I never was able to completely get with Yoga.
